Guests attending our Hawaiian Night Fundraising Dinner were treated to a tour of our Chapel On Wheels mobile classrooms. Thanks to the efforts of John Schroeder, our Director of Facilities, our mobile classrooms were upgraded a few years ago with:
rooftop solar panels for rechargeable mobile power on the go
built-in modern flat screen TVs for video lessons
built-in swivel whiteboards to replace outdated chalkboards
fresh coats of paint and general beautification
new roller blinds (donated by shutterheaveninc.com) that lets light in while shielding our students from the hot noon-day sun
Guests had the opportunity to watch a short video of sample lessons sitting in the very seats our students use.
The Chapel on Wheels mobile classrooms are parked for the summer while students are on summer vacation. Please join us in the fall for volunteer opportunities to prepare the mobile classrooms for the coming new school year!
